In December 2019 the ASX changed the disclosure requirements for companies issuing new capital. 

For investors participating in placements it's important to understand when information and shares will hit the market. 

1. Trading Halt

• Trading of shares is halted while the company finalises a capital raise

• Follow ASX Trading Halts for instant notifications when companies go into halts

2. Placement Announced

• Company announces completion of the capital raise

• Raise size, price and key deal terms are announced to the market

• Shares resume trading

3. Notice of Proposed Issue / Appendix 3B Can be labelled "Appendix 3B" or "Proposed Issue of Securities" and includes:

• Proposed issue date

• Type of issue (placement, rights, entitlement etc)

• Maximum number of securities to be issued

• Broker details + fees

4. Shares Issued / Appendix 2A This announcement completes the transaction and finalises the issue of new securities. The release of this announcement signals that new shares are on the market and includes:

• Final number of securities to be quoted

• Summary of all shares currently on issue + options + unquoted securities
